I completed my contents page for the school magazine. We have to show some kind of mock-up with the contents page.

In the last few lessons, I have been working on my Preliminary task which is to create a front page and a contents page of a school magazine. The magazine is going to be called Brainstorm because it sounds smart and creative. The font is called ConcursoItalian BTN. The masthead is in red because I did some research into the front pages of magazines and found that the majority of them has red in their masthead, so it's a popular colour to use. Next to the masthead is a cartoon picture of a brain with lightning bolts shooting out of it which I got from Clip art in word. I have edited and cut the actual picture so it just shows the "brainstorm". I have used the program Serif DrawPlus to create the front page of the magazine.

This is what it looks like so far. I haven't finished it but I have a lot of work to do.

For my AS level media project, I have decided to do print, which is to produce a front page, contents page and a double page spread of a school magazine.
In the first lesson, we had to come up with a name for the magazine. I came up with a few but I chose "Brainstorm" because it's creative but it implies that it has something to do with information and learning things.
In the second lesson, I used a program called Serif DrawPlus to create the front page of the magazine. I explored the different fonts for the masthead and different colours for the front page.
